For as long as he can remember, Barry has drawn and painted.

His inspiration for the past twenty years has been the evocative landscape of Snowdonia, along with many other parts of the British Isles, particularly Cornwall, the west coast of Ireland and Northumberland. His drawings are mainly pen/ink and wash, and his main painting medium, acrylic. In addition to painting, Barry has a reputation as a skilled and creative wood-turner and still occasionally enamels.

Barry's work has been shown in various local galleries.

He sells mainly from his studio and workshop at home, but if you want a good meal whilst looking at Barry's paintings, together with those of other local artists, you can visit "Y Sgwar" Restaurant in Tremadog, North Wales.
